The Simavi Strategic Vision runs from 2009 to 2011. We set out our plans to make a significant contribution to the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) for a world without poverty. These targets, agreed by 189 UN member states, aim to tackle world poverty through actions including halving the proportion of people without access to safe water and sanitation by 2015.
As part of the progress of our strategic development process we had very useful consultations meetings in April 2008 in Delhi, Lilongwe and Kampala. Simavi worked hard to further develop our strategic vision for the years to come. It is our pleasure to share with you the Simavi strategic version 2009-2011. We are convinced that we were able to incorporate many of the valued suggestions and we expect that these new strategic directions will assist Simavi and its partners to continue working on poverty alleviation and creating a society in which people have equal access to health. For full clarity about the process we also included the report of the three partner consultations.
